2008-03-19 09:17:10 UFC 84: "Ill Will" Card Coming Together The main event of UFC 84: "Ill Will" will be BJ Penn vs Sean Sherk for the UFC lightweight championship. Sean Sherk is returning from his steroids-related suspension to fight Penn. This will be a great main event as both are great fighters who legitimately hate each other. BJ Penn is currently a -210 favorite to retain his title while Sherk is a +170 underdog. Can Sherk shake off the ring rust to come back and take the lightweight title? Sherk has a sterling record of 31-2-1 as a pro, but hasn't fought since July of 2007. Can he repair his reputation and win the lightweight title in the process? Tito Ortiz will presumably fight for the last time at UFC 84, taking on the undefeated Lyoto Machida. Ortiz has publicly grumbled about the quality of his opponent in his last UFC match, but this is a fight that fans definitely want to see. Besides, Vegas has Ortiz as a +180 underdog in this fight, so he has quite a bit to prove in this fight. Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida has a perfect 12-0-0 record in MMA fight and will prove to be an extremely challenging test for Ortiz. Machida has beaten the likes of BJ Penn and Rich Franklin, so I am not sure why Ortiz has such a problem with fighting him in his last UFC match. Keith Jardine will be taking on Wanderlei Silva as well. Jardine is currently a slight underdog as Vegas has him at +125 to win. Wanderlei Silva, fresh off of a loss to Chuck Liddell, is listed at -155. This match is very hard to call.
