Chris Leben Turns Himself In To Oregon Authorities; Will Spend the Next Week to Ten Days in Jail
 |

What do you do when you are preparing for the biggest fight of your career?
If you are Chris Leben, you turn yourself in to Oregon police and serve 8-10 days in jail.
Chris Leben has greatly rehabilitated his image and because of that, has secured himself a big match against Michael Bisping at UFC 85 in London.
Leben is still dealing with some of the ghosts of his past, and a charge of driving under the influence in Portland is one of those ghosts.
It was unlikely that Leben would have been able to leave the country to fight Bisping in England, so Leben decided instead to turn himself in to Oregon police on Wednesday. He will apparently spend the next 8-10 days in jail. His outstanding warrant has now been revoked, meaning that Leben should be able to leave the US and enter England to fight Bisping at UFC 85: Bedlam.
Chris "The Crippler" Leben will take an 18-4-0 record in to his fight against Michael Bisping. Leben will not only be fighting against Bisping, but he will also be fighting against the extremely partisan hometown crowd (Bisping is from England). Leben has some big wins under his belt, but this would be his biggest if he was able to overcome Bisping.
As mentioned, Bisping will have the hometown crowd behind him in this fight. He also brings a sparkling 15-1-0 record into this match-up, with 10 of his victories coming via knockout. His only ever loss was a split decision defeat to Rashad Evans at UFC 78 - Validation. Bisping has an extremely impressive professional record, and has to be regarded as the favorite in this match-up.
Leben plans on immediately returning to his training regimen once he is released from jail.
