Amir Sadollah Wins The Ultimate Fighter 7
 |

How many people picked Amir Sadollah to win The Ultimate Fighter 7? How many people even picked Sadollah to win his "first round elimination" match-up and move in to the house? Not many.
Sadollah entered the Ultimate Fighter 7 with no professional fighting experience. He had a 0-0 record and was a big underdog to fight his way onto the show, let alone go to the finals and actually win. Sadollah surprised everyone though by not only making it to the finals, but also defeating CB Dollaway with ease in the finale.
Sadollah earned the six-figure UFC contract by making Dollaway tap midway through the first round. Sadollah locked in an arm-bar that Dollaway couldn't maneuver out of, and he was forced to tap. Dollaway pleaded to the referee, saying that he didn't tap, but it was obvious that he did. And with that, Amir Sadollah won the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Was this a tainted victory? Probably. Jesse Taylor, Amir's original opponent in the finale of the show, was kicked off the show for drunken, rowdy behavior that involved kicking out the window of a limousine and "terrorizing" the female patrons of a Las Vegas casino. This was the first time that a fighter was ever kicked off the show after making it to the finals. Taylor certainly would have given Sadollah a much harder fight, but it is hard to fault Dana White for booting Taylor off the show.
Amir seems to have a bright future in the sport. He is bright, personable and extremely funny, and seems to have plenty of raw talent. He earned his spot via an open-workout in Newark after deciding to pursue MMA full-time. He was previously a surgical technician at VCU Healthsystems, according to his Wikipedia profile.
Sadollah initially defeated Steve Byrnes to earn a spot on the show, and was the second pick of "Team Forrest". He then defeated Gerald Harris, Matt Brown and C.B. Dolloway to make it through to the finals. Amir beat Dolloway the same way in the semi-finals that he did in the finals - an armbar tap-out. Dolloway was clearly winning the first fight between the two, but tapped out in the third round after Sadollah locked in the armbar.
Amir has a true passion for mixed martial arts, and should do well during his career in the UFC.
