The Ultimate Fighter 8 to Premiere on September 17th

Promotion for "The Ultimate Fighter 8" has kicked into high-gear with a teaser trailer for the show recently being leaked onto the Internet.

The eighth season of the show will both feature light heavyweights and lightweights. In recent seasons, the UFC have strayed away from this format, instead choosing to focus on just one weight class. Seasons 1-4 featured two different weight classes, while seasons 5-7 featured just one (Lightweights, Welterweights and Middleweights).

The new season of the show will feature Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (interim Heavyweight champion) and Frank Mir (former UFC Heavyweight champion) as the two coaches. The two are scheduled to fight sometime in December once the season has been aired.

Some of the rumored assistant coaches include: Anderson "Spider" Silva, Lyoto Machida and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

The rumored list of fighters on the show so far includes:

Ryan Bader, Krzysztof Soszynski, Ryan Jimmo, Shane Primm, Lance Evans, Vinicius Magalhaes, Jesse Veium, Glover Teixeira, Efrain Escudero, Junie Allen Browning, Mark Hughes, Jason MacKay and Shane Nelson.

The UFC will likely be hoping for a bit more heat between the two coaches. Season six of the show was very entertaining because of the bad blood between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra. In comparison, season seven featured basically no bad blood between the two coaches, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Forrest Griffin. The seventh season of the show was won by Amir Sadollah, who was fighting in the Middleweight division.

The eight season of the show is shaping up to be a good one. Mir and Nogueira are two interesting choices to coach, and their differing styles should make for some very watchable matches.
