Quinton "Rampage" Jackson Arrested

 |

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, just days after dropping his light heavyweight title to Forrest Griffin at UFC 86, has been arrested in California for "felony hit and run" and "felony evading arrest", according to TMZ.com.
Details are still sketchy at this time, as he was literally just arrested mere minutes ago.
Apparently everything started when Jackson hit a couple of cars in his lifted truck and then sped away. Police were soon in hot pursuit, and apparently noted that Jackson struck another three cars while leading police on a short chase.
Eventually Jackson's vehicle sustained enough damage that he was forced to stop. According to published reports, his wheels were shredded and he was driving on the rims. He was forced to exit his vehicle and lay face-down on the road - multiple police officers had their weapons drawn.
Police likely had a pretty good idea of who the culprit was before Jackson even exited the vehicle - Jackson was driving a very large truck that had his picture painted right on the side.

According to TMZ.com, there could be additional charges. "Felony hit and run" and "felony evading arrest" are already pretty serious though. I would imagine that Jackson will be facing some substantial jail time over this.
We're not sure what sparked this rampage (no pun intended). According to published reports, narcotics and/or alcohol was not a "contributing" factor. We'll be keeping an eye on the situation on it develops. Jackson is currently on his way to jail, according to TMZ.com.
