UFC Fight Night For the Troops To Take Place December 10th
 |

On December 10th, the UFC will be holding their UFC Fight Night: "Fight for the Troops" card. This will be a three hour live event that will air for free on Spike TV. This event is being held to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which provides much-needed funds for the National Intrepid Center for Excellence. The Center for Excellence provides "services to military men and women who have suffered traumatic brain injuries."
The event will be headlined by a Welterweight battle as Josh "Kos" Koscheck takes on Yoshiyuki "Zenko" Yoshida.
Koscheck is taking this fight just a month and a half after battling Thiago Alves to a unanimous decision loss at UFC 90 - Silva vs Cote. Josh has publicly stated that he is trying to fight his way back into Welterweight title contender status, and a win over Yoshida would certainly help his chances.
Yoshida will be looking to build on the momentum of an impressive first-round submission victory over "War Machine" at UFC 84 - Ill Will.
The rest of the card looks like this:
Mike Swick vs Jonathan Goulet
Steve Cantwell vs Razak Al-Hassan
Tim Credeur vs Nate Loughran
Frank Edgar vs Matt Wiman
Luigi Fioravanti vs Brodie Farber
Steve Bruno vs Johnny Rees
Ben Saunders vs Brandon Wolff
Corey Hill vs Dale Hartt
Eddie Sanchez vs Justin McCully
The other matches (other than Koscheck v Yoshida) that stand out for me on this card are Swick vs Goulet and Edgar vs Wiman. Both should be great fights.
This should be a great card, and the UFC is rewarding its fans by making this a three-hour live extravaganza on Spike TV. I'll never complain about a free three-hour UFC card.
