MMA Fans Will Get Their Money's Worth Over the Next Few Months

The next few months are likely going to empty the pockets of many MMA fans.

To start, you have the exceptional UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008 card slated to take place in a couple of weeks. This show is very likely to be one of the best of 2008, as you have three fights that could headline any card by themselves and a strong preliminary card. Griffin vs Evans, Nogueira vs Mir and Jackson vs Silva III will all be great fights.

After that you have UFC 93, which will feature Rich Franklin vs Dan Henderson and Mark Coleman vs Mauricio Rua in the co-main events. Many people will be shelling out their hard-earned dollars for the Franklin/Henderson fight alone.

Then, as if that wasn't enough, you have the Affliction PPV in January that will be headlined by Fedor vs Arlovski.

The icing on the cake though just might be the UFC 94 card. This is a stack card that offers something for everybody.

First off, the event is obviously to be headlined by Georges St. Pierre vs B.J. Penn 2. This is a MMA fans dream match-up, as both fighters are considered to be two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.



After that - Lyoto Machida vs Thiago Silva. Two undefeated rising stars squaring off against each other in a light heavyweight tilt. The trash-talking is already underway, which will make this fight even more entertaining. This is a terrific match-up of different fighting styles - the aggressive Silva vs the defensive-minded Machida.

After that - Jon Fitch vs Akihiro Bono. Fitch is one of the very best Welterweights in the world and Bono has a long and storied career that has stretched through PRIDE and Pancrase.

The main card is rounded out by the return of Stephan Bonnar as he takes on Jon Jones, as well as a lightweight tilt between Nate Diaz and Clay Guida.

Over the next couple of months, you have three absolutely stacked cards (UFC 92 and 94, Affliction) plus a very strong UFC 93 card that is headlined by two of the most popular fighters in the UFC (Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin).
