B.J. Penn vs Georges St. Pierre Betting Odds
 |

We are still a month and a half away from the epic fight between Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn. The two are set to square off in the main event of UFC 94 for the Welterweight title.
5Dimes.com have released one of the first betting lines that I have seen for this fight.
Georges St. Pierre is starting out as a -245 favorite at 5Dimes, while B.J. Penn is a +175 underdog.
For those not entirely familiar with how betting lines work, this means that a successful $100 wager on B.J. Penn would make you $175 in profit. On the other hand, you would need to wager $245 on Georges St. Pierre to give yourself a chance at winning $100 of profit back. So obviously, GSP is quite a big favorite in this fight.
B.J. Penn, the current lightweight title holder in the UFC, is moving up to Welterweight to take on Georges St. Pierre in a "dream" fight for the Welterweight title.
The two fought before at UFC 58 - Usa vs Canada, with St. Pierre taking the fight via split decision.
Since that fight, St. Pierre has tallied a record of 5-1, including two impressive victories over Matt Hughes. St. Pierre has looked practically invincible in his last four fights, and B.J. Penn will certainly have his hands full at UFC 94.
Penn has won his last three fights in a row, including an impressive dismantling of Sean Sherk at UFC 84 - Ill Will. Penn is getting himself into absolutely phenomenal shape for his upcoming bout against St. Pierre, and should give the Canadian fighter all that he can handle.
Two of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world will be squaring off in this fight. Is St. Pierre a lock to win? Or is there value in taking B.J. Penn as a +175 underdog?
