Ken Shamrock vs Tank Abbott - Do You Care?
 |

According to an article on MMAJunkie.com (link below), Ken Shamrock and Tank Abbott are currently engaged in negotiations for a possible April bout.
The two are co-headlining a February 13th event at the Fresno Arena in Fresno, California.
Ken Shamrock will be facing off against Ross Clifton, while Tank Abbott will be squaring off against Mike Bourke.
Clifton has a lifetime professional record of 6-8, while Mike Bourke has a lifetime record of 8-11-1.
Both fighters (Shamrock and Abbott) have turned their attention towards a possible April fight. Negotiations are apparently in the "final stages".
Shamrock claims that "there are a lot of fans that have following this for years, die-hard fans, who want to see this and reminisce a bit".
The rumored April tilt between the two veterans would apparently take place in Reno, Nevada.
Both fighters have had a rough stretch as of late.
"Tank" Abbott has lost his last four straight fights. This includes a 43 second loss to Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson at EliteXC - Street Certified. Abbott currently possesses a lifetime professional record of 9-14-0.
Ken Shamrock has lost his last five professional bouts and 7 of his last eight. His last fight was a first round knockout loss to Robert Berry in March of 2008.
Shamrock was originally supposed to fight "Kimbo Slice" late last year, but was forced to withdraw from the card due to the re-opening of a cut hours prior to the fight. Seth Petruzelli stepped in, and the rest is history.
The question is - do you want to see this fight?
A better question - would you pay money to see this fight?
