Following a positive drug test, Jon "Bones" Jones was removed from the UFC 200 main event.

The UFC was left to scramble for a few days as they tried to find a suitable opponent for Daniel Cormier. After all, Cormier was set to rake in a massive payday from his appearance on the UFC 200 card, and it was unfair to remove him from the card after he put in so much work to get ready.

So, after days of scrambling, the UFC finally found an opponent for Cormier - Anderson "The Spider" Silva.

The fight will be three rounds and will not be for the title. Daniel Cormier certainly doesn't care, however, as he is still going to get paid, while Anderson Silva will surely be receiving a massive payday for taking the fight on short notice.

Anderson Silva will originally supposed to fight Uriah Hall at UFC 198 but was pulled out after needing emergency gall bladder surgery. Silva has not trained for a couple of months, though is apparently still healthy enough to take the fight against Cormier.

The two fighters will have a massive size difference when they step into the Octagon on Saturday night - Cormier will cut down from 220+ pounds to make 205, while Silva walks around at 196 or 197 pounds.

Cormier will try to use his wrestling to toss around the smaller Silva, while the "Spider" will attempt to score some sort of a flash knockout on the Light Heavyweight champion. It seems like there are few paths to victory for Silva in this fight, though stranger things have happened in mixed martial arts.

Here are the current odds for this fight:

Anderson Silva, +395
Daniel Cormier, -445

So, according to these odds, a successful $100 wager on Silva would yield a total profit of $395, while a successful $445 bet on Cormier would return $100.

Given Silva's inactivity and the size difference, it speaks to Silva's striking pedigree that the odds would be so close. Silva will always have a puncher's chance in this fight.
