Card to Feature Tito Ortiz vs Liam McGeary in Main Event

In a pre-Bellator 138 press conference that was held earlier today, Bellator CEO Scott Coker revealed plans for a massive September 19th card that will feature mixed martial arts and kickboxing fights, courtesy of GLORY kickboxing.

According to Coker, the main event of the card will feature a Light Heavyweight title fight between Tito Ortiz and current champion, Liam McGeary.

In addition, the #1 contender for the winner of the Ortiz/McGeary fight will be determined during a four-main, one-night Light Heavyweight tournament that will include four men - Muhammed Lawal, Phil Davis, Emanuel Newton and Linton Vassell. The semi-final fights will have two 5-minute rounds, while the final fight will be the standard three, five-minute rounds. All of these fights will take place on the same night.

On top of that (as of that wasn't enough), Bellator announced that this will be a co-promotional event with GLORY kickboxing. Three kickboxing bouts, two featuring Paul Daley and Joe Schilling, will be taking place on the card as well. According to Coker, two separate rings will be used for the mixed martial arts and kickboxing fights.

The card, which is titled "Dynamite", will be taking place in San Jose at the SAP Center on September 19th, and will be broadcast on Spike TV.

During his time in Strikeforce, Scott Coker was never afraid to enter into co-promotional arrangements. Bellator Coker looks to be no different, which means that we will be getting a special night of fights on September 19th.
