UFC Signs Holly Holm To Deal

Women's MMA is about to get a big shot in the arm.

Earlier this week, Dana White announced via his Instagram account that the UFC had signed former boxer and current MMA fighter Holly Holm to a deal. The UFC is obviously hoping that Holm can eventually challenge current Bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, in the near future. Holm, who was at one time considered the best pound-for-pound female boxer in the world, has compiled a 7-0 record since entering mixed martial arts.

There are more potential developments on the horizon as well.

Dana White recently revealed that the UFC will be trying to sign former Strikeforce title contender Gina Carano to a deal this week.

Carano, who hasn't fought professionally since August of 2009, is still one of the biggest names in women's mixed martial arts thanks to a movie career that has included appearances in Haywire and Fast and the Furious 6. A Carano/Rousey fight would obviously do tremendous business.

As if that weren't enough, Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino recently revealed that she plans to drop down to 135 pounds. Justino is looking for a Bantamweight fight in December - if that fight goes well, don't be surprised to see her in the UFC shortly after.

So, these three fights may be taking place over the next couple of years:

Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano
Ronda Rousey vs Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino
Ronda Rousey vs Holly Holm

I smell money!
