Bisping's Dreams of Defending Against GSP Not Likely To Materialize

Michael Bisping's dream of a massive payout defending his title against Georges St. Pierre are not likely to materialize.

Instead, Bisping's next title defense will almost certainly come against Yoel Romero, who recent defeated Chris Weidman via a scary jumping knee to earn a shot at the title.

Bisping, as a UFC title holder, is entitled to a cut of the PPV profits, which is why he was angling so hard for a fight against Georges St. Pierre. Such a fight, Bisping has said, would have been worth millions more to his purse. As Bisping approaches the age of 40, he is looking to make as much money as possible.

With a fight against Yoel Romero, Bisping stands to earn considerably less money. In addition, Romero is an extremely tough opponent who will almost certainly be the betting favourite against Bisping.

Bisping had taken a great deal of criticism for insisting on a title defense against Dan Henderson in order to exercise some demons.

That looks to be a one-off type of situation, however, as it now looks as though the UFC is going to insist upon Bisping defending against the top contender, who right now appears to be Yoel Romero.

The King is talking about Michael Bisping and his title defense fight against Yoeal Romero. It is not for sure. But it is very likely.

For many people, Bisping's title reign will almost certainly come to an end when he squares off against Yoel Romero.

On the other hand, Bisping shocked the world by beating Luke Rockhold, so anything can happen.

One thing is for sure - the trash talking is going to be off the charts for this fight.
