Don't expect to see Chael Sonnen at Light Heavyweight for too much longer.

According to the former Middleweight and Light Heavyweight contender, Sonnen will be making his last appearance at Light Heavyweight when he takes on Mauricio "Shogun" Rua later in the year. Sonnen has signalled his intention to move back to the middleweight division following his fight against "Shogun".

According to Sonnen, there are a couple of fights at Middleweight that really intrigue him: Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva. Sonnen has been involved in some verbal altercations with both fighters, and a Sonnen/Belfort or Sonnen/Silva fight would certainly be an easy sell to the fans.

In addition, it is certainly no coincidence that Sonnen has announced his return to Middleweight following Anderson Silva's loss to Chris Weidman at UFC 162. There was no way that Sonnen was going to get another Middleweight title shot as long as Anderson Silva was holding the belt, and now that Chris Weidman is the champion, Sonnen likely feels that he has a shot at the title once again.

Chael has also revealed that he has just recently inked a five fight deal with the UFC, so you can expect to see Sonnen in the UFC for years to come.
