According to Ariel Helwani of, the planned main event of UFC 213, a Bantamweight title fight between Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw, could be in danger of being pulled from the card.

Garbrandt is currently battling back issues and the UFC recently sent him to Germany to receive stem cell treatment. While the UFC was hopeful that Garbrandt would be able to fight in July, there is growing worry that he won't be ready in time.

The MMA King is pointing towards the article text above with his thumb. Office photo. This has led the UFC to start looking for a replacement main event fight, though they have limited options on this front.

The natural choices for a main event fight on a big card - Conor McGregor, Georges St. Pierre, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar - are all going to be unavailable for varying reasons.

Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier is locked in stone for UFC 214, and that fight can't be bumped up because Jones won't be available in time (due to his suspension).

This leaves the UFC without any obvious choices to main event UFC 213.

Anderson Silva could return to fight, but is he really a big enough name to headline the UFC's big July card? Probably not.

Nate or Nick Diaz would fit the bill, though the UFC would likely have to shell out a large amount of money to get either one of them to fight. Nate Diaz vs Tony Ferguson for the interim Lightweight title would be a tremendous fight, though Diaz doesn't seem to be too interested in that fight for the money he is being offered.

The UFC could potentially put together a Woodley vs Maia main event for this card, though would that bring in the buys? Probably not.

In short, the Garbrandt vs Dillashaw grudge match may have to wait.
