Conor McGregor: "I Get Fined More Than These Bums Get Paid"

The NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) came down hard on Featherweight champion Conor McGregor earlier today, as they levied a fine of $150,000 and 50 hours of community service for his role in the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference that turned into a drinking throwing melee.

McGregor, in his typical fashion, went to Twitter after the announcement was made and posted:

"I get fined more than these bums get paid"

The King is suspiciously scratching his beard.

At a pre-UFC 202 press conference, Conor McGregor arrived about 15 minutes later, angering his opponent, Nate Diaz.

Diaz left the press conference early, hurling a string of insults at McGregor as he left. A water bottle was thrown in McGregor's direction, which prompted him to unleash a number of energy drinks in the direction of Diaz and his camp. UFC President Dana White warned afterwards that McGregor and Diaz would both be facing punitive action as a result of the melee.

At the end, $150,000 is a small price to pay for McGregor, who reportedly made over $15 million for UFC 202.

The bottle throwing incident likely added hundreds of thousands of PPV buys, which would have translated into millions of dollars more for McGregor.

All in all - throwing the bottles was a smart business move for "Mystic Mac".
