Uriah Hall Faces Must Win Fight Against Chris Leben

UFC President Dana White isn't the type of person to say "you have to win your next fight, or else we'll cut you." Usually the UFC will cut fighters in the days following a weak performance, but they won't issue an ultimatum to the fighter beforehand.

However, in the case of Ultimate Fighter 17 runner-up Uriah Hall, Dana White is making an exception.

Beat Chris Leben at UFC 168, Dana White has said to Uriah Hall, or else we're cutting you.

There was a time when Uriah Hall was one of the most hyped prospects in the UFC. Hall bulldozed his way through the preliminary rounds of the Ultimate Fighter tournament, flooring his opponents with some of the most spectacular knockouts that the competition has seen. Dana White, as is his fashion, hyped Hall to the moon.

Unfortunately for Hall and the UFC, the hype train derailed at the Ultimate Fighter 17 finale, as Hall dropped a split decision to Kevin Gastelum. Hall was clearly overconfident heading into the fight, and it ended up costing him.

A few months later, Hall dropped another split decision to John Howard at UFC Fight Night 26, and is now suddenly 0-2 with two very uninspiring losses.

It's do or die for Uriah Hall at UFC 168, and he will have to get through veteran Chris Leben in order to keep his job.
