UFC 215 Is Receiving Practically Zero Promotion From The UFC

Did you know that there is a UFC PPV event this coming weekend?

If you didn't realize this, that's ok, as the UFC doesn't seem too intent on giving this PPV any promotion whatsoever.

UFC 215 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada features two title fights - Demetrious Johnson vs Ray Borg for the Flyweight title, and Amanda Nunes vs Valentina Shevchenko for the Women's Bantamweight title.

Demetrious Johnson and the UFC have had a back-and-forth battle in the public for a while now. According to Johnson, the UFC isn't interested in pushing him as a champion because he doesn't draw. The UFC reportedly wanted to make TJ Dillashaw vs Demetrious Johnson for the Flyweight title, though Johnson refused, as he was worried that Dillashaw would miss weight and cost Johnson his consecutive title defence streak.

It seems as though the UFC placed the Johnson vs Borg fight on this card just to make "Mighty Mouse" look bad - in the weeks after McGregor vs Mayweather, nobody would really care about the Johnson fight, especially with hardly any promotion from the UFC.

It seems as though Johnson is being set up for failure at this PPV, as there really aren't any draws on the card.

Let's take a look at the main card:

Demetrious Johnson v Ray Borg
Amanda Nunes v Valentina Shevchenko
Neil Magny v Rafael dos Anjos
Ilir Latifi v Tyson Pedro
Jeremy Stephens v Gilbert Melendez

Amanda Nunes v Valentina Shevchecko was originally intended for an event earlier this summer, though Nunes had to pull out right before the fight due to an illness.

It's pretty safe to say that this will be one of the lowest selling PPVs in recent times and that nobody on the card should expect to cash in from PPV points.
