There have been three champions in the Welterweight division since Georges St. Pierre stepped away from the sport in 2013 - Johny Hendricks, Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.

Earlier this month, St. Pierre announced that he was enrolling himself in the USADA drug test program in anticipation of a return to the Octagon. There have been numerous opponents mentioned for St. Pierre, including an immediate title fight against Tyron Woodley. Woodley is on board with the idea - in fact, he called St. Pierre out after he defeated Robbie Lawler earlier in the month.

Despite having been out of action for nearly three years, Georges St. Pierre would be the favourite to beat Woodley, at least according to the oddsmakers. Here are the current betting odds:

Georges St. Pierre, -150
Tyron Woodley, +120

According to these odds, a successful $150 wager on St. Pierre would yield a total profit of $100, while a successful $100 bet on Tyron Woodley would yield a total return of $120.

Despite having almost three years of ring rust, Georges St. Pierre is a master tactician who has kept himself in prime physical condition since announcing his departure from the UFC.

How would Woodley hold up in a fight that had such a bright spotlight? Would St. Pierre negate Woodley's explosive power with the constant threat of a takedown? How would Woodley deal with St. Pierre's jabs?

The King is going over the odds for the potential fight between Georges St. Pierre and current Walterweight division champion Tyron Woodley. - August 2016

This would be a very intriguing fight - let's see if the UFC can put it together.
