Reasons For St. Pierre's "Temporary Retirement" Still Not Known

Shortly after Georges St. Pierre narrowly defended his title against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, the champion revealed that he would be walking away from the Octagon "for a little bit".

In the post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White was seemingly very agitated with the champion. During the press conference, White apparently had a conversation with the champion, and later revealed that GSP's problems weren't "that big of a deal", and that he was confident that the champion would be back to fighting shortly.

Earlier today, posted an article in which they "revealed" that St. Pierre's Dad is dying, and that he is also dealing with an "unwanted" pregnancy.

This information seemingly didn't match Dana White's statements that GSP's issues "weren't a big deal" - how is your father being on his deathbed not a big deal?

Well, various reports are now surfacing that claim that St. Pierre's father is in perfect health. The reports don't refute the fact that GSP may be dealing with a pregnancy, which leads many to believe that this is the issue that St. Pierre is currently dealing with. This would also match Dana White's comments about it "not being a big deal".

St. Pierre is an emotional fighter who wear his heart on his sleeve. My feeling is that we'll see St. Pierre back in the Octagon again, sooner rather that later.

Having said that, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
