Daniel Cormier Currently 2.70 Underdog To Beat Jones in Rematch

The long anticipated rematch between Jon "Bones" Jones and Daniel Cormier seems destined to finally take place at UFC 214 on July 29th.

The two men were famously supposed to fight at UFC 200, though Jones was pulled mere days before the card due to a positive drug test. Daniel Cormier went on to defeat Anderson Silva via unanimous decision at that event.

Earlier this week, Jones and Cormier officially signed their deals to fight at UFC 214. There was some thought that Jones might take a tune-up fight to prepare for Cormier, though Jones quickly dismissed any of that talk by inking the deal to fight Cormier.

The King is deep in thought, cleaning his sunglasses.

The two men both turned up at a press conference yesterday, and both men continued their war of words.

In the end, Jones still has a victory over Cormier, which he says came after a "weekend of cocaine".

Despite being on the sidelines for an extended period of time, Jones is still the clear betting favourite to defeat Cormier. Here are the current betting odds:

Daniel Cormier, 2.70
Jon Jones, 1.48

As you can see, Cormier is a nearly 3/1 underdog to defend his title against Jones.

Jones did not look particularly good against OSP and this fight will likely be much closer than what the betting line currently suggests.

I would expect these odds to narrow as we move close to the July 29th fight date.

I speak for everybody when I say that I hope that this fight actually ends up taking place.
