Jackson/Beltran Set As Bellator 108 Main Event

Bellator revealed earlier this week that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will be making his debut with the promotion against Joey Beltran in the main event of Bellator 108 on Friday, November 15th.

Jackson was originally supposed to be squaring off against Tito Ortiz in the main event of Bellator's first ever PPV, but Ortiz was forced to pull himself off of the card due to a fractured neck. Bellator ended up scrapping their PPV plans, moving the rest of the fights to a free Spike TV card and pulling "Rampage" from the event. "Rampage", who had been training in anticipation of a fight against Ortiz, was promised that another opponent would be found quickly.

Bellator dipped into the pool of former UFC fighters once again, signing the recently released Joey Beltran. Beltran will be thrown straight into the fire at Bellator, as he will be squaring off the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion.

Beltran is not seen as being much of a threat to "Rampage", and it's widely assume that Bellator is setting up this fight in order to get "Rampage" a win and help him build some momentum.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been Bellator's biggest signing to date, and they are hoping that the former Light Heavyweight champion will be able to draw fans to Spike TV and Bellator. In addition to fighting with Bellator, "Rampage" has also appeared on TNA Wrestling.
