Jackson vs Lawal to Serve as Co-Main Event

The co-main event of Bellator's first ever PPV has now been signed, as Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will be taking on Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal in the final of the Light Heavyweight tournament.

"Rampage" earned his way into the finals by knocking out Christian M'Pumbu, while Lawal was able to get past Mikhail Zayats.

Shortly after "Rampage" defeated M'Pumbu, "King Mo" made his way to the ring and engaged in some spirited trash talk with Jackson. The two have feuded in the past and had seemingly buried the hatchet, but they have likely rekindled their rivalry as a way of helping to sell the fight.

The third fight of the Michael Chandler vs Eddie Alvarez trilogy will serve as the main event for this card, which will be taking place on May 17th in Memphis, Tennessee.

This is going to be Bellator's second attempt at running a PPV. The promotion tried to host a PPV last November that would have seen Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Tito Ortiz square off in the main event, but Ortiz suffered a neck injury and was forced to withdraw from the fight. Bellator decided to move the PPV over to free TV and try their luck with a PPV at a later date.

How will this PPV end up doing in terms of PPV buys? Will you buy it?
