If Women's Bantamweight Holly Holm defeats Miesha Tate at UFC 196 this weekend, a rematch between the champion and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey will very likely take place later in the year.

The rematch would do absolutely massive numbers, as Ronda Rousey is still one of the biggest female sports superstars in the world, while Holly Holm has also seen her star rise as well. There would be a tremendous number of storylines in a Rousey vs Holm rematch. Was the first result a fluke? How will Rousey rebound following the first loss of her mixed martial arts career? What types of adjustments will the two fighters make?

While Ronda Rousey was a massive favourite to win prior to UFC 193, there is no such disparity in the odds now.

Here are the current odds for a Rousey/Holm rematch as of this moment:

Ronda Rousey, -105
Holly Holm, -125

According to these odds, a successful $105 wager on Ronda Rousey would yield a total profit of $100, while a successful $125 bet on Holm would return a total profit of $100. As you can see, the difference between the two fighters is razor thin.

Heading into her fights, Ronda Rousey is usually close to a -1000 favourite to win. In short, bookmakers never really give her opponents a chance of winning, and Rousey certainly backed up these odds with a level of dominance that has never been seen in the UFC.

The times have changed, however, and Rousey was dealt her first loss in devastating fashion.

The big question now - how will Rousey rebound when she next steps into the Octagon, likely later in the year?
