Good news for Stefan Struve and fans of the Heavyweight giant - Struve is apparently on track to make his return to the Octagon in early 2014.

According to Struve, the "Skyscraper" recently returned to a full training schedule and is anticipating a return to action "early next year". This is welcome news, considering the fact that Struve very nearly had to call it a career after being diagnosed with an enlarged heart and leaking aortic valve.

According to reports, Struve's career-threatening condition is effectively being managed with treatment, and his issues have subsided to the point where he can fight in the UFC once again. There was a point in time earlier in the year when it looked as though Struve's career was finished.

Despite being just 25 years of age, Struve has fought 13 times in the UFC, compiling a record of 9-4. Some of Struve's most notable wins have come over Pat Barry and Stipe Miocic.

Struve's last fight was a TKO loss to Mark Hunt at UFC on Fuel TV: Silva vs Stann. Struve ended up suffering a fractured jaw in the fight, but little did he know that his medical issues were about to increase considerably.

Struve is one of the Heavyweight division's most exciting fighters, and the UFC will surely be glad to welcome the "Skyscraper" back into the fold.
