UFC on Fox 16: Dillashaw vs Barao has kind of been forgotten, thanks to the fact that it is sandwiched between UFC 189 and UFC 190. In addition, the UFC has been running an obscene amount of events as of late, and UFC on Fox 16 has sort of gotten lost in the crowd.

This is a true shame, as UFC on Fox 16 features a title fight (TJ Dillashaw vs Renan Barao 2), a #1 contender eliminator fight (Miesha Tate vs Jessica Eye) and a couple of other fights that should be absolute beauties (Barboza vs Felder, Joe Lauzon vs Takanori Gomi).

On May 24th, 2014, TJ Dillashaw shocked the mixed martial arts world when he knocked out the seemingly dominant and unbeatable Renan Barao to win the Bantamweight title. Nobody was giving Dillashaw much of a shot in the fight, but Dillashaw dominated from start to finish and loudly announced himself as one of the UFC's best fighters.

The two men were supposed to square off again at UFC 177, but Barao was forced to pull out due to a terrible weight cut. Instead, Dillashaw made his first title defense against Joe Soto, who put up a much more spirited fight than first anticipated.

There were worries about Renan Barao's weight cut coming into UFC on Fox 16, but he made weight (after two attempts) and is now ready to go on Saturday night.

As mentioned, TJ Dillashaw and Miesha Tate are favored to win their respective fights. The winner of Tate/Eye will almost certainly get the winner of Rousey/Correia, which is set to take place at UFC 190. Miesha Tate has already lost to Ronda Rousey twice, but the two women hate each other and a third fight is likely to be a success from a marketing standpoint.

Let's take a look at the odds for the main card fights:

Renan Barao, +210
TJ Dillashaw, -230

Jessica Eye, +185
Miesha Tate, -200

Edson Barboza, -135
Paul Felder, +125

Joe Lauzon, -345
Takanori Gomi, +315

The closest fight on the main card is Edson Barboza vs Paul Felder, which features two of the Lightweight division's most dynamic strikers.

All four of these fights are compelling, and this card definitely deserves a watch.
