Jones, Teixeira Both Weigh In At 205

Much to the delight of UFC President Dana White, all of the fighters who are participating on tomorrow night's UFC 172 card ended up making weight.

White was likely especially nervous about Anthony Johnson, who has famously missed weight a number of times in the past. As a matter of fact, Johnson's weight issues were the reason why he was turfed from the UFC in the first place. The UFC decided to bring him back into the fold along with a stern warning from Dana White - if you miss weight, you are permanently banned from the UFC. Johnson, who is now fighting two weight classes higher than when he first fought in the UFC, ended up making weight.

Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira, who will be fighting for the Light Heavyweight title on Saturday night, both weighed in at 205 pounds. A title fight requires that both fighters weigh in right at the championship limit (205 pounds), while non-title fights have a one pound allowance (206).

Here were the weights for the five main card fights:

Jon Jones (205) vs Glover Teixeira (205)
Phil Davis (205.5) vs Anthony Johnson (205)
Luke Rockhold (185.5) vs Tim Boetsch (185.5)
Jim Miller (155) vs Yancy Medeiros (155.5)
Max Holloway (145) vs Andre Fili (145)

Here were the weights from the undercard tilts:

Joseph Benavidez (125.5) vs Tim Elliott (125.5)
Takanori Gomi (155.5) vs Isaac Vallie-Flagg (155.5)
Jessamyn Duke (135.5) vs Bethe Correia (135)
Danny Castillo (156) vs Charlie Brenneman (155.5)
Chris Beal (135) vs Patrick Williams (135)
