The odds for the likely main and co-main events of UFC 185 have now been released.

UFC 185, which is set to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, is set to be headlined by a Lightweight title tilt between Anthony "Showtime" Pettis and Rafael dos Anjos.

The likely co-main event will be a Heavyweight tilt between Alistair "Demolition Man" Overeem and Roy "Big Country" Nelson.

Odds for both of these fights have now been released, with Pettis and Overeem opening as the early favourites.

Here are the odds as of this moment:

Anthony Pettis, -325
Rafael dos Anjos, +250

Alistair Overeem, -250
Roy Nelson, +195

While Rafael dos Anjos has looked very good en route to earning himself a title shot, Anthony Pettis is seen as being a step above. Pettis did the nearly impossible in his last fight - submit Gilbert Melendez. Dos Anjos, while being seen as a rising star in the division, is going to have his hands more than full with Pettis and his dynamic striking attack.

Despite having a chin that seems to be made of glass, Overeem has opened as a substantial favourite over Roy Nelson. These odds are strange to me given:

a) Nelson's chin
b) Overeem's lack of a chin

Both men are great strikers but Nelson has the added benefits of being hard to knock out as well as being a terrific grappler. I have a hard time imagining Overeem withstanding one of Nelson's overhand rights.

Overeem's best chance of winning this fight is by blitzing Nelson early in the first round. If Nelson can withstand that attack it may end up being a very long night for Overeem.
