The UFC officially revealed today that UFC 198 will be headlined by Fabricio Werdum vs Stipe Miocic. The card, which is set for May 14th, will be taking place in the 42,000 seat Arena da Baixada Stadium in Curitiba, Brazil.

Fabricio Werdum will be looking to make his first successful defense of the Heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic. Werdum was originally slated to defend his title against Cain Velasquez on February 6th, though both fighters ended up pulling out with injuries. Velasquez is still on the shelf, which means that Stipe Miocic will now be getting the title shot.

The co-main event of the card will see Ronaldo Souza take on Vitor Belfort in a title contender eliminator fight in the Middleweight division. Though Michael "The Count" Bisping has been mentioned for a title shot, there is a good chance that Ronaldo Souza may end up getting the shot if he can beat Vitor Belfort on May 14th.

The rest of the main card is filled with interesting fights as well, as Patrick Cummins is set to take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Matt Brown is set to square off against Demian Maia and Bryan Barberena will be taking on Warlley Alves.

There have been rumors that Anderson "The Spider" Silva will be added to this card as well, possibly in a fight against Tim Kennedy. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but it makes perfect sense that Silva would want to fight in front of his hometown fans in Curitiba, Brazil, especially in a 42,000 seat arena. Silva's recent fight against Michael Bisping clearly proves that he is still more than capable of putting on an entertaining fight, which is why I think that the UFC will be pressing to include Silva on this card.

The UFC has an absolutely mammoth slate of cards approaching - UFC 196: McGregor vs Diaz, UFC 197: Jones vs Cormier II, UFC 198: Miocic vs Werdum in a 42,000 seat stadium, UFC 199 (which will likely feature Rockhold vs Weidman 2) and UFC 200, which will almost certainly feature Conor McGregor and a host of other big fights.
