Late last week, the UFC announced that they had inked a distribution deal with Invicta Fighting Championships.

The deal calls for the UFC to air all of Invicta's events live on Fight Pass. In addition, all of Invicta's previous events will available to made available on Fight Pass in short order.

Invicta is the all-women fighting promotion that has included a number of current UFC roster members including Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano and Liz Carmouche.

This deal is historic because it is the first time that the UFC has ever agreed to distribute shows for a company that they haven't purchased. Having said that, the UFC and Invicta have a working relationship that goes back a while. The UFC, for instance, recently purchased the contracts of all of Invicta's top 115 pound fighters and brought them over to the UFC.

UFC's deal with Invicta opens the possibility of similar deals in the future.

Invicta's product has rarely disappointed and this should be a great addition to the Fight Pass offering.
