Dan Henderson Narrowly Defeated Mauricio "Shogun" Rua At UFC 139

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Dan Henderson will face each other once again in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs Henderson 2 Sunday night.

The main event of UFC 139 saw Shogun and Henderson engage in one of the best wars in the history of the UFC. Henderson soundly beat Shogun over the course of the first three rounds and the referee came very close to stopping the fight during the third round. However, Shogun managed to withstand the barrage of "H-Bombs" and eventually turned the tide during the fourth round after Henderson gassed. Shogun dominated in the fifth and final round, but he was too far behind on the scorecards to notch the win.

Shogun was bitterly disappointed after the first fight, as he felt that he should have been able to finish Henderson during the fifth round.

Shogun will get his chance at revenge on Sunday night at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs Henderson 2. Shogun will have the added advantage of fighting in front of a home crowd, as the card will be taking place in Natal, Brazil.

Rua enters this fight looking to build momentum following an emphatic victory over James Te-Huna at UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs Bigfoot. Many people claimed that the old Shogun was "back" following his knockout over Te-Huna, and it will be interesting to see if he can carry the momentum over into his fight against Dan Henderson.

Dan Henderson, on the other hand, desperately needs a win after dropping his last three fights in a row. Henderson's last fight marked a first in his career, as it was the first time that he had ever been knocked out by an opponent (Vitor Belfort won via head kick).

There is plenty on the line in tonight's fight. A loss for Dan Henderson and he may very well call it a career. A loss for Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and all of his newfound momentum will be gone.

This should be an absolute classic on Sunday night - I can't wait.
